My submission comes from a deep need to know for sure that someone's in charge and that someone isn't me. It really is that simple for me.
Simply put, I'm not interested in being in charge. I don't want to make the rules, I don't want to make the decisions, and I don't want to control anyone or anything really. My safety and security in life comes from knowing that there is someone bigger and badder than me watching closely... someone I can't manipulate or control.
(Real quick clarification -- I CAN make rules, I CAN make decisions, etc... but that is not what fulfills me and it is not what makes me happy... and is definitely not what I want for my life)
Those are my current thoughts... maybe I'll add to it later...lol.

That is how it is for me too for the most part :)
It is nice to have that security, even when you know you can be in charge.

From my side of the fence, that is a beautiful thing. Knowing that is what you need to be, and have that desire and willingness. Knowing you would be that for me without question. (me being figuratively). Realizing and accepting that is very important, and many times a large part of the battle. Good for you!

I completely understand that feelings you express in this post. When I'm at work I'm completely opposite how I am in my private life. It's as though the fact that I'm so controlling in my career life that I need to the opposite at home to recharge my batteries so to speak. I am fully capable of setting rules and boundaries for myself and others. However, I feel much more fulfilled when there is that strong person in my life whom I can serve and follow.
